

He was born on September 1, 1930 in San Francisco De Macoris, Dominican Republic to the late Luis De La Cruz and Ana Rita Cruz De Marte.
He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Cruz; children, Robert Cruz, Luis Cruz, Rosa Soriano and Ana Cruz
He was preceded in death by Hermania Cruz, Ana Luisa Cruz, Marino Cruz, Sergio Cruz, Ramona Mercedes Cruz, Miguel Cruz.
Ramon worked hard to support his family. He did upholstery. He owned a furniture store and a Grocery store along the way. Ramon was a great salesman. When the economy was bad, Ramon bought poultry from a wholesaler and distributed and sold it to local food markets. During this time, Ramon also was making ends meet by customizing slip covers for sofas. He was very talented at supporting his family. We never went without.
Ramon was a very giving person. He helped other family members; facilitating their immigration to the United States. Ramon was an avid coin collector. He loved bowling and playing dominos.
We will miss him. Rest in peace.
A visitation will be held from 8am until the funeral mass at 10am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 6819 Krycul Avenue Riverview, Florida 33578. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens 2323 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, Florida 33511.
