

Ramona was born on March 18, 1963 in Phoenix City, Alabama to Andrew and Joan (Dampier) Whitman. She attended school in Columbus, Georgia, Lawton, Oklahoma and Fort Sill before moving with her family to Brandon Florida. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1981.
On April 16, 1983, she married George Troublefield and gave birth to a son, Jonathon George Troublefield on January 20, 1989. They lived in Fort Lauderdale for many years before moving to Brooksville in 2007. Ramona extended her love and generosity to everyone she met and had a special affection for children and animals of all kinds. Her home was a haven for many dogs, cats, and birds throughout the years.
Ramon’s love for children carried into her work at a variety of medical facilities. Most recently, she served as the Billing Director in the Pediatric Extended Care Facility at Tender Care Medical Services in Spring Hill, Florida.
Ramona is survived by her loving husband, George Troublefield of Brooksville, her son Jonathon Troublefield and his partner Rachel Raben of Plantation, her parents, Andrew and Joan Whitman of Brandon, her sister Andrea Wickham of Gibsonton, her brother John (Shannon) Whitman of Jupiter, her mother-in-law Sandra Troublefield, sister-in-law Sherri Troublefield Johnson, and two nephews and three nieces, Kevin Johnson, Kelly Johnson Erickson, Samantha Johnson Barrett, Kristy Johnson Scott, and Drew Whitman in addition to many extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Reno and Irene Whitman, Ken and Leta Hockenberry, and Barney Dampier, an uncle, Barney Dampier, Jr., aunt, Joan Whitman Day and her father-in-law, Thomas Troublefield.
Services will be held at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens in Brandon, Florida on Monday, July 18th. Visitation will take place from 11:00 – 12:00 with funeral services to follow at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Ramona’s legacy be carried forward with a donation to your favorite pet rescue organization.
