I will always remember my Mother-in- law by the way she always loved to cook.. She cooked great food and always made sure everyone was satisfied by offering them more and more...One day, in the beginning years of  meeting the family , we all sat at the dinner tsble with all the great food surrounding us. When Regina asked me to take seconds, since I am American and wanted to learn some Spanish, I wanted to respond in her language.. This leads to my second  favorite memory I have of her... Her laughter just made you smile since she emphasized it with a glow on her face and her body moving up and down and tears almost rolking down  her cheeks...So, Christian , her son, my husband, told me to say “Estoy Ballena.” Little did I know that meant I am a whale and not I’m full,” “Estoy llena “. which I really wanted to say... Christian knew how to make her laugh... He had a great bond with her... She raised her 2 sons with such great manners and much love and care for all who enter their lives... She will be missed a lot...

Regina was a neighbour to us the first few years we moved into our house in Riverview
I had no Imidiate Family in Florida .
I had a hard time adjusting to gardening which I loved so much, here in Florida and I managed to kill almost every plant .
It was frustrating.
Everyday our Neighbours greeted us.
But one Day Regina came over 
And explained to me what Flowers I have  and what care they need.
There was a big Language Barrier not only did she  speak mainly Spanish but at that time my English was still broken.
But that didn't matter we communicated with our body language and we got trough to each other.
From then on. I went over to her when I saw her outside if I had questions we became garden buddies. But her motherly care made her more than that . she became a good friend.
I remember her showing me her house and garden .
I even had Regina and her friend over for Coffee and Cake.
It was nice to socialise.
She made me feel happy again.



Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Saltos family.  
May God put her in a special place where she will be watching the people who loved and cherished her!
