Rita was born on June 24, 1936, and lived a long and joyful life surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Rita was the oldest of five siblings, growing up with three brothers and one sister, with whom she shared many cherished memories. She was an avid ballroom dancer, finding great joy and grace on the dance floor. Rita also loved watching baseball, rarely missing a game and alway remembering the details of the players.
Above all, she treasured her family-her husband, her two sons, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren-who brought her endless pride and happiness throughout her life.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
A celebration of Rita's life will follow at 12:00 p.m.
Rita will be remembered for her toughness, her spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
