Veronica and I send our condolences to the Dunbar Family. I never worked directly with Rob, but he was always so friendly and had a smile on his face. He was a gentle giant and always had a cheerful attitude. He will be missed by all that came in contact with him. RIP.

I worked with Robert for many years at Ford Credit. He was a gem of a person, a rare treasure that you don't often find. He was kind hearted, thoughtful and Jovial. I consider myself blessed that I was able to work closely with him up until about a year ago. It is hard to believe that I won't be seeing his smiling face again. My heart breaks for his family and his little buddy, Nathan whom he always talked so fondly about. Sending a big hug to you in heaven, Robert, you will be greatly missed by many.

To lose someone like Robert Dunbar is always hard because of the rarity of finding people like him anymore. He always brought a smile with him where ever he went, so even if having a bad day and you saw him, you would remember there's always something to smile about. He was a gentle giant and one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I will truly miss seeing him in the halls of FMCC giving me that little ray of sunshine if I had a cloudy day. Rest up Robert, you're at peace now.

My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family during this most difficult time of transition. Please know that you are in my prayers as you face the coming days, weeks, and months ahead. May the multitude of memories , the remembrance of the sound of laughter and the sight of smiles, and the shadow of a gentle giant continue to comfort you.

I met Robert at Ford Credit, where he was the kindest, most help helpful, go out of his way to make your job easier sort of guy I ever met. This thou before me was not just a work ethic, but a way of life. If ever there was a gentle giant with a heart of gold, it was Robert Dunbar.

Sincere condolences to his wife and family. May his memory be for a blessing.

Robert and I started at Ford Credit together in 2001. We were in the same department and sat next to each other for a several years. We shared a lot of common interests and became fast friends. It was easy to be friends with Robert. He was a sincere and genuine human being; always helpful, always kind and always a gentleman. He was proud to work at Ford Credit and was always motivated to learn more. As years went by, we didn't see each other as often. We would run into each other in the hallways and exchange quick stories about work or personal life. As brief as those moments were, Robert would always smile and tell me it was good to catch up. Thank you, Robert for your friendship and introducing me to Maui Jim sunglasses. :) I am grateful to have known you and worked with you. Rest in peace, my friend. We'll catch up again. My thoughts and prayers to Laura and all the family. I hope the trail of memories will always bring a smile to your face.

Rob is my uncle. Uncle doesn't do it justice to what he was to my cousin's, sister and I. He taught me so much and always had time for us. From football games (both professional and out in front of the house), basketball, band, skating, concerts, lake and river fun, he did it all with us. He took our friends and everyone so no one was left out. He was the best! I will take your lessons and memories with me forever. I love and miss him dearly. Rest easy uncle Robby thank you for everything.
