Robert Allen Smith

Robert "Bob" Allen Smith, 91 of Riverview, Florida passed away in Sun City, Florida on 13 February, 2025. Bob was born in Quercus Grove, Indiana on 16 August, 1933 to Mary "Edith" and Lawrence Smith. He attended Patriot High School.

Bob married Helen in 1952 and was married for 72 years. Together they had three children, Kenneth, Teresa and Jeffrey. He served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and 20 years with the Veterans Administration.

He enjoyed participating in RVing, fishing and woodworking. Bob and Helen had spent the last 15 years of retirement enjoying their family and many friends at Robinson Orange Park in Plant City.

Bob is survived by wife, Helen; children, Kenneth (Carolyn), Teresa, Jeffrey (Stacy); four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by parents, Lawrence and Mary; siblings, Chester and Antionette.

Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the American Legion.

A funeral service for Robert will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida. Interment to follow at 12:30 p.m. in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 Southwest 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
