Robert was born in St. Petersburg, Fla. on November 25,1933. He attended St. Petersburg Sr High School, St. Petersburg Jr College and Brewster Tech. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Submarine Service. Robert retired after 32 years of employment from GTE (Verizon). He was also and member of the Sons of the American Revolution with family ties going back to the Virginia Colonies. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Lou Wall Stamper. He is survived by his second wife, Norma Carol Stamper; daughters, Sandra Stamper Hatton, Teresa Stamper Land; sons, Robert Stamper Jr, Walter David Stamper; three grandchildren, Marisa and Stone Stamper, Hunter Land.
Robert will be buried in the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, Fla.
