Ronald John Folvarcik

1/1/1943 – 1/6/2016

The Lord called Ron home on January 6th after a three year battle with complications from multiple myeloma. He is survived by his dedicated, loving wife of 46 years, Bonnie; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Chuck Long; son and daughter-in-law, John and Kerry Folvarcik and their children Annabelle (9), April (8), Nicholas (7), and Ava (5); and his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Tony Young and their sons, Justin (24) and Stephen (10).

After having left Tonawanda, NY in 1976 he spent the remainder of his life in Valrico, FL where he was an active member of Nativity Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister. His Christian life excelled and was enriched through membership in the People of Praise Covenant Christian Community.

Ron loved God 1st, his wife 2nd, and - most of all - family. A lifelong fitness and sports addict he also pursued camping, traveling, an occasional good drink and overall good times. “Ron never met a stranger who wasn’t family.” He would literally give you the shirt off of his back, his last morsel of food and all of the money in his wallet if you were in need. He lived the beatitudes. He daily prayed and interceded for those he met and faithfully included them on his prayer list.

A visitation will be at Stowers Funeral Home on January 10 from 5-7, and a funeral mass on January 11 at 12:30 at Nativity Catholic Church.
