A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, August 6 at Mary Help of Christians Church, 6400 East Chelsea St., Tampa, Florida 33610, and Father Steve Ryan will be officiating. Burial will be held on Thursday August 7, 2014 at Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery at 9 am, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. Ron was born Dec. 22, 1944 in Pensacola, Florida to Roy and Margret (Fletcher) Johns. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1962 and from Georgia Tech University in 1968. On Sept. 11, 1964 he married Frances Ann Christakos in Atlanta, Ga. Ron was a leading Computer and Electrical Engineer employed by GE, Square D, NASA, and Westinghouse. He enjoyed working and providing for his family, but most of all he enjoyed having lots of fun in life and traveling with his family. He was an avid boater, fisherman, and hiker. He spent a lot of his weekends bicycling, boating, rollerblading or spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by his wife Fran Christakos and two children: Daughter - Stephanie Johns and husband Bruno Nicholson, Son - Russell Johns.
