Ronnie was born on February 10th, 1945, in Perrysville, IN. He was the son of Charlie and Della Wilson, he has 3 sisters, Frieda, Delores and Sandy.
He graduated from Perrysville Highschool in 1963 and went on to go to a Technical school to study Auto body repair in Nashville Tn. & became the finest "body man" as he called himself until he decided to change his career to better himself & became a truck driver till he retired.
Ronnie was truly a man of God, he loved Jesus with all his heart and soul. He had a Big heart and was blessed in helping others. He looked forward to going to church each Sunday to worship our Lord & his faith in God was evident to everyone that knew him. He loved reading his Bible and daily devotions in which you could see him doing so sitting in his favorite chair on the carport if you happen to stop by.
In 1965, Ronnie met the love of his life Evelyn Vaughn Wilson, whom he was married to for the last 53 years. They have 2 sons Steven and Michael Wilson. They both have looked up to their dad and are proud of the wonderful father he has always been. They have lots of wonderful memorials to treasure of many fun vacations & times spent together.
Ronnie loved working in his Yard, he enjoyed taking care of the flowers, mowing the grass & splitting firewood for the fireplace to enjoy on the cool winter nights.
He was a huge sports fan and loved watching all kinds of ballgames on tv. He was an Indiana Hoosiers basketball fan, Tampa Bay Bucs football fan and Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan, he loved rooting for his teams.
One of his enjoyable times was to go to their three week time share at Cameron Cove Resort on Indian Rocks Beach each year since 1983 & looked forward to go fishing, swimming & cooking steaks on the grill. He loved to have company to come share his time at the beach & always made you feel so welcome & always made sure you had a good parking space.
He loved traveling & enjoyed going with Evelyn as they went on road trips, flew to Alaska once & Hawaii twice & went on many cruises & enjoyed seeing the different beautiful islands the last few years. I believe the most enjoyable trip was going to Israel & seeing where Jesus walked.
His most rewarding time was going on work & witness trips with the church to different parts of the world which included Costa Rico & Africa. He always stressed what a blessing it was in helping others.
Ronnie was a unique person being one of a kind. A quiet, soft spoken man with a tremendously big heart. He will truly be missed by his sife, family and to all who knew him.
Memorial Service will be held at Brandon First Church of the Nazarene 114 Kingsway Ave. on Saturday September 29th at 2pm
