NYQUIST, Roy E., 97, of Riverview entered into rest October 31, 2014. Roy retired from Pan American World Airways after 27 years of service and Amtrak with over 10 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific in World War II as an M.P. with the 27th Infantry Division. Roy enjoyed golfing and traveling. He was a member of the VFW Post 10126 in Lady Lake and Post 8108 in Riverview. A loving husband, father, and grandfather he will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene. Survivors include his son, Roy Nyquist; daughters, Barbara Werbeck, Carolyn Nyquist; grandchildren, Grant, Jonathan, and Mark Werbeck, Kristopher and Ariel Rodriques, Kirsten Nyquist; nephews, William and Larry Nyquist. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at Stowers Funeral Home.
