Ruth Roberta Rice

Ruth was born in Fillmore, NY on February 19th 1930. The beloved daughter of George and Harriet Dildine. She was the mother of two children.

Ruth is survived by one daughter Vicki Totsline of Fillmore NY. Her son of David Thayer of Sun City, California predeceased her. Ruth is survived by her sister Georgia Hiller of Jamestown NY. Ruth’s other two siblings, Florence Obey and Alice Van Druff predeceased her. Ruth was predeceased by husband Leroy Thayer, Alvin Motz, and Everett Rice. Ruth had five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren who survive her. She was blessed to know her seven great great grandchildren.

She was a beloved member of the Hopewell Baptist Church for more than 30 years, where she was very active. She was a lifetime member of the women’s auxiliary of the Lancaster NY Branch (#7275). She enjoyed traveling and visiting her friends and family. Memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church of Plant City, Florida or to the family directly.
