Sara was born October 3, 1940 to Clyde and Ethel Woods. She graduated from Turkey Creek High School in 1959. She worked in the Hillsborough County School system for almost 28 years as a teacher's aide. She was involved in the Classroom Teachers Association for many years. She received an Educational Support Personnel Award for founding the program that was named after her.
She was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma. She enjoyed going on day trips to local places. She loved and spoiled her pet dog, Rascal.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Dion (Charles) of Plant City, FL, son, Keith Bailey (Deanna) of Lakeland, FL, Grandchildren Matthew Dion (Tia), Kimberly Rogers (Jeremy), Christine McClanahan (Kyle), and Christie Hernandez (Fernando), eight great grandchildren.
Brother, Patrick Woods (Charlene) of Dover, FL. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm and service will be from 2:00-3:00pm at the Hillsboro Memorial Home in Brandon, Florida.
