

Departed for her last and best trip on July 24, 2025. An enthusiastic traveler, she will be met by her beloved husband Ralph, her loving parents, Fred and Jean Spring, and in-laws, George and Louise Foecking and many friends. Sherry is survived by sons, Mark (Chris) and Eric (Julie) and Daughter, Lisa Williamson and grandsons, Justin (Jess), Jarrod (Mallory) and James. Great-grandchildren, Juliette and Jackson.
Sherry received a BFA degree from Drake University in Iowa where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and served the sorority as a local and state level for many years. Her master’s degree in education was from USF.
Sherry taught reading and later, computer skills at Academy of Holy Names, Tampa for many years and in retirement, taught computer proficiency to businesspeople and later to seniors at Osher Lifelong Learning at USF. She was active in the Catholic Woman’s Club and Sacred Heart and Nativity Catholic Churches as a contributing member. A longtime member of the American Association of University Women and recently Plant City Women’s Club, she has taken a leadership role in all these organizations. She loved her family and friends, swimming, technology, and good food. She enjoyed going to plays and out to eat and listening to waltzes and reading books.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st from 9am to 10am, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa. A funeral mass will follow at 10am. She will be laid to rest privately at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lighthouse For the Blind, 1106 W. Platt St., Tampa FL 33606. Bon Voyage!
