She was born October 31, 1946 in Centre, Alabama to Quinton B Matthews and Mary Lou LeCroy.
The family moved to Tampa when she was just 2 months old. It was there at the age of 12 that she fell in love with the dark haired boy across the street. They married February 14, 1969 and moved to Riverview where they would raise their family. She was a member of Riverview First Baptist where she taught 5th grade Sunday School for over 30 years before moving to Old Town, Florida There she was a member of Old Town Baptist where she taught VBS and was the church photographer. She was a homemaker, loved to sew and was ready to go fishing any chance she could. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She was always there to support and cheer them on in any of their endeavors. Although she faced health struggles in life, her unwavering faith and positive attitude kept a smile on her face.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother William Hugh Matthews. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert D Rewis of Old Town, Fl, daughter, Michelle Jameson (Todd) of Hendersonville, NC, son, Robert D Rewis,Jr. of Bryceville, Fl, brother, Grady B Matthews of Tampa, 4 Grandchildren, Jessica Rewis, (Sebastian) Matthew Jameson, Jason Rewis and Lane Jameson, and many nieces and nephews.
