Shun, is survived by his children, Daughter, Frankie-Anne Hadassa Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee; Sons, Shun Jason Lee of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Mackenzie George Lee (daughter-in-law Tara Nicole Lee) of Sanford, North Carolina, and Nathen Blessing (daughter-in-law Kelsey Blessing) of Pennsylvania; Siblings, George "Sonny" Lee, Michael Lee, David Lee, and Sheila Frances Lee; Grandchildren, Michael Howard Lee, Morgan Renee Hayden, Matthias "Matty" David Lee, Gaius "Nemo" Nehemiah Lee, Lucas Blessing, and Cameron Blessing; Great Grandchildren Kaeden Anthony Lee and Lukah Allen Lee. He is preceded in death by his sisters; Jeanne Bowles, Patricia Paulin, Dorothy Lee, and Rosalind Lee.
Shun was born on July 23rd in Manhattan, New York, the fifth child born to Hen Wing and Frankie Lee. He graduated from a NY technical school with a degree in HVAC and a certificate in Construction Heavy Equipment. After moving to Port St. Lucie, Florida, Shun continued his education in his field and began working for Sandpiper Bay as an HVAC and Maintenance Technician . With many endeavors throughout his time, including starting his own HVAC service, running a food truck, and a loved and known local DJ, his highlighted career was his 22 years as the HVAC and Engineering Supervisor at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida. His dedication and work ethic was unmatched. Now retired, he spent his days fishing, cruising, poker nights, and traveling to be with family and friends. He was a proud Pint Club blood donor and was an active and dedicated donator to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
An honorable Army Veteran, he served in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1968, receiving the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and Expert Rifle.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shun's life. The family would like to thank the staff at Sun Terrace Rehabilitation Center for their efforts, care, dedication, and love Shun received while in their care. We are grateful.
A visitation for Shun will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial services will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Lee residence.
