Sue Byrd Pearson

Sue Helen Byrd Pearson, a devoted wife, mother, nana, and friend, entered into eternity with the Lord on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was born on June 23, 1947, in Brunswick, Georgia, and throughout her life, she proudly called both Georgia and Florida home.

Sue was a graduate of Groves High School and continued her education at Bolen Draughn Business College. She also attended Georgia Southern College, fostering a lifelong love for learning and personal growth.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Thomas Pearson; her two children, Julie Melissa Guess and Bruce “Tommy” Thomas Pearson Jr.; as well as numerous adoring grandchildren and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ouida Mae Beasley and Eulie Cecil Byrd, and her two brothers, Gerald “Jerry” Byrd and Lawrence “Larry” Cecil Byrd.

Sue’s warmth, generosity, and deep love for her family and friends will be forever treasured by those who knew her. Her life will be celebrated at Bell Shoals Church Chapel on Saturday, February 1, 2025, with visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and a reception afterwards.

All are welcome to come share memories and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman. In lieu of flowers, the Pearson family kindly requests donations be made to Bell Shoals Church in her honor.
