Sylvia Ann Woss

Sylvia Ann Woss, age 77, of Valrico, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Sylvia was born in Tampa, Florida on October 22, 1944. She is survived by her beloved husband, Rudolph; son, Michael and his wife Cheryl; son, Scott and his wife Jessica; and son, Joseph and his wife Jeanette. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan Woss, Katherine Hammontree and her husband Harrison, Dylan Woss and his wife Alexis, Madison Briggs, Jadon Briggs, Michael "M.J." Woss, Jackson Woss, Jameson Woss, and Juliette Woss. She is also survived by her brother, Phillip Williams and wife Phyllis; her brother, Robert Williams and his wife Barbara; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins in her extended family, as well as lifelong friends.

Sylvia was a homemaker, but there was so much to this title. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was the person that made our house a home. She was always welcoming and treated everyone like family. Her Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas holidays were always over the top with amazing home made foods, combining southern cooking with polish dishes she learned from her husband's side of the family. She was a homeroom Mom, baseball team Mom, and cheerleader for every sport her kids or grandkids played. She always made family vacations special, whether on the beaches of Daytona or in the Carolina mountains. She was intelligent, had a sharp wit, a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She gave everything she could give to help her family, and was always available to help others in their time of need. She was a devout Christian and believed strongly in her Catholic faith, and consistently attended church with her husband.

A gathering of family & friends for Sylvia will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A graveside service will occur Monday, January 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
