Teresa Margret Edwards, 73, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born on January 1, 1947 in Richmond, VA. Teresa grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1965. After high school, she attended Beauty School in Virginia Beach and went on to be a beautician as her profession. Teresa (Donati) married Dwight Edwards on November 29, 1969 in Norfolk, VA. After marriage, Teresa quit her profession to be a full-time mother in 1974. Teresa and Dwight were happily married for 45 years. They resided in Virginia Beach, Va before moving to Tampa in 2012. Teresa was committed to her Savior Jesus Christ and exemplified this throughout her life. While in Virginia, Dwight and Teresa were members of the Tidewater church of Christ. After moving to Florida, they were active members of the Seffner church of Christ congregation. After the passing of Dwight, Teresa moved to Temple Terrace, FL and placed membership at the University church of Christ.
Teresa was preceded in death by her biological father David Donati, mother Inez Donati Brown and her brother Robert Donati.
Teresa is survived by her step father Norman Brown of Plant City, FL; her sons David (Libby) and Kyle (Daphne) Edwards of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren Renee, Max, Ava, Corbin, Hallie and Ryan.
A memorial service will be held at Hutchinson Auditorium, 119 N. Glen Arven Ave. Temple Terrace, FL 33617 at 10:00 am on December 12, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Florida College Scholarship Fund, 119 North Glen Arven Avenue, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
