Thelma Louise Schmidt

SCHMIDT, Thelma Louise Colemere Closuit , 77, surrounded by her family, went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2015, due to complications associated with breast cancer. Thelma was born in Denver, Colorado on January 13, 1938 to Irwin and Thelma Colemere. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother "Red,"Colemere and her stepson Michael Schmidt. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, George William Schmidt; son Edward Irwin Closuit (Nokomis, Fl.); daughter Barbara Jeanne Closuit Memory and husband Tommy (Blackshear, Ga.); son StCeven Paul Closuit (Ormond Beach, Fl.); stepdaughter Michelle Ann Carmody (Sanford, Fl.); stepson Joseph Frederick Schmidt and wife Gretchan (Covington, Ohio); stepson Richard William Schmidt and wife Linda (Waukesha, WI.), 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She retired after many years of working as a credit manager for various corporations. She was a member and enjoyed volunteering at Incarnation Catholic Church. Her favorite pastime was shelling in Sanibel Island. Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Incarnation Catholic Church, 5124 Gateway Drive, Tampa, FL.
