Theresa Margaret Freker

Theresa Margaret Freker 87, of Land O Lakes, Florida died October 27, 2013 at Emeritus at Northdale, Tampa, FL. She was born January 11, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA. daughter of Robert and Margaret Sharkey. On June 6, 1946 she married the late James R Freker in Pittsburgh, PA. Theresa worked as a telephone switchboard operator after high school. She was a carhop and waitress at Eat N Park for over twenty years and worked at Mellon Bank in the microfilm department. She was very active in the Women’s Club at Lake Carlton Arms Apartments where she also taught water aerobics for several years. She enjoyed traveling taking many cruises. She also enjoyed knitting and quilting. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Robert Freker (Bonnie) of Temperance, MI.; daughter Kathleen Herndon (Ronald) of Land O Lakes, FL. ; son Thomas Freker (Darlene) of Temperance, MI. Grandchildren: David Herndon (Cheryl), Jason Freker, Joshua Freker (Travis), Jocelyn Smith (Doug), Randy Freker, Nicole Herndon, Lindsay Freker (Tony), Dallas Herndon (Ali), Joseph Freker and Mark Freker. Great grandchildren: Dorian and Maisy Smith, Garrett and Jonathan Herndon, Miles and Ada Foster, Rigdon, Kian and Owen Freker and Lily Floyd. Also surviving are sisters Mary Rose Jenny and Vera Lippert and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are husband James, parents Robert and Margaret Sharkey, brother Robert Sharkey and wife Shirley, sister Agnes and husband Fred Green, brothers-in-law William Lippert and Jack Jenny, and very special friend Robert Powell. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy Catholic Church 17512 Lakeshore Rd. Lutz, FL. on 11-13-13 at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Life Path Hospice of Hillsborough County Garnet Team or St. Timothy Catholic Church in her memory.
