
Thomas was born on 04/28/1948 to Ernst and Betty (Lehman) Springer in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After graduating from Ossian, Indiana High School in 1966 he was a meat cutter for Maloley Grocery in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. After moving to Tampa, Fl in 1984 he worked at Albertsons Grocery, did lawn maintenance and finally owned a cleaning company until he retired on disability in 2003.
Thomas was married to Carol (Betts/Springer) Myers for 16 years and lived in Bluffton, Indiana. They had two children; Bekkee (Springer/Mawhir) Thompson (Kelly) and Scott (Shirley/Sally) Springer. Then he was married to Suellen (Little/Wringler) Springer for 41 years and lived in Tampa, Fl for most of those years. They had two children; Chad Springer (Tomoko) and Heather Springer. He had 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
During his life Thomas enjoyed bowling in several leagues and softball (church leagues). He also sang in church choir and with Suellen as duets. He was a member of Central Christian Church and Journey Christian Church for many years in Tampa. He also attended St. Marks Lutheran Church in Ossian, Indiana.
Thomas was predeceased by Ernst Springer (father), Betty Springer (mother) and a sister, Linda (Springer) Gallmeyer. He is survived by his wife Suellen,brothers Terry Springer (Donna), Tim Springer (Pat), Duane Springer (Karen), a sister Carol Wilenski (George [deceased]), his four children Bekkee. Scott, Chad and Heather his grand and great grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
