Troy Pate
September 20, 1934 – July 2, 2022
Troy George Pate, age 87, Tampa FL – Caring and loving Husband, Dad and Opi, left this world on July 2nd, 2022.
Born in Pensacola FL, Troy was a hard-working man and a wonderful provider for family working at Pate Stevedoring for 46 years, starting when the steamships were still coming into port. He was patient, kind, giving and funny who loved his football, especially the Green Bay Packers & the Florida Gators as well as being the “handyman” and working in his yard & gardening. He adored his family recently saying being drafted by the Army gave him the best life ever; stationed in Germany he met his beautiful wife, who gave him 3 wonderful children & 4 grandchildren.
Troy is preceded in death by his wife, Hildegard. He is survived by his children: Richard, Anita and Bart; grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, Kristan and Daphney.
You will be missed, but never forgotten.
A private funeral will be held for immediate family only.
The family requests no flowers, but rather a donation in Troy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association
