CARTER, Valerie D., 56, a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area entered into rest January 19, 2014. Valerie was a longtime member of New Testament Church of Brandon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth L. Thomas, Constance Davidson; step-father, Les Schilling; brother, Kenneth R. Thomas.Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Robert; son Chester Louis Carter; daughter, Angela Marie Carter; grandchildren, Colby, Skye, Connie, Faith; brother, Robert Douglas Thomas, Matthew Lester Schilling (Katrina); sisters, Priscilla Stone (Edward); Pamela Marie Schilling. A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Stowers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
