Valerie S. Johnson

Valerie was born October 15, 1950 and graduated from Secondary Educational School in Trinidad. She graduated from the community College of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with an Associate Degree in Information Technology. She started at an entry-level position. Afterwards Valerie received a promotion for a Training Director of Information Technology after thirty years at CNA Insurance Company . She traveled for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival every year and participated in it.

Upon arrival in Florida in 2004, Valerie quickly involved herself with Democratic National Committee volunteers in Florida. there are two things Valerie loved about Florida. First Florida's warm weather. Second, Valerie made a lot of friends in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents James "Jacket" Robinson of Eversham village, Saint Vincent (1973) and Wilhemena Robinson of Arima, Trinidad (2010) and half brother, Norris Robinson (1994). She is survived by her son Kevin (Rebecca Chatterpaul) Johnson. whom resides in Claymont, Delaware; two sisters, Cecilia Robinson, from Arima, Trinidad, another sister Francisca Belfon of Arima, Trinidad; two brothers; Albert "Abbey" Robinson of Arima, Trinidad, and Rupert Robinson from Arima, Trinidad; two half-brothers Barry Robinson, from Arima, Trinidad and Henry Robinson from Evesham Village, Saint Vincent; half sisters, Ersell Polimis, from Evesham Village, Saint Vincent, and Shirley Hector, from Evesham Village, Saint Vincent, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 18, 2017, 10:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 East Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida 33511. Burial will follow at Limona Cemetery.
