Virginia H Akins

Ginger was born on February 23, 1948, to Cecil and Dorothy Hall in Tampa, FL. She attended Chamberlin High School class of 1966. Ginger was married to Lawrence R. Akins in December of 1967 in Tampa, and went on to have three children, Rebecca, Christy and Shawn. She was employed for many years with Progressive in Tampa as an Administrative Assistant. Ginger was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon

Ginger was predeceased by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughters Rebecca and Christy and her husband Robert, and her son Shawn. Along with her sister Brenda and brothers Rex and Robert. Her grandchildren, Mary, Zachary and Emily; great grandchildren Lio, Lola, Eli and Jameson.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
