HARRIS Jr., William Lynwood “Woody”, 57, of Brandon formerly of Orlando entered into rest April 17, 2013. Woody was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Corpsman and worked as an EMT for Patient Transfer Services in Pasco County. He retired as a Rescue Captain after 25 years of service with Hillsborough County EMS and Fire Rescue. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Woody enjoyed herpetology, scuba diving, photography, drumming, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was a member of "The Bad Apples" and a childhood member of the Boy Scouts of America. A loving husband, father, and grandfather he will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lynwood Harris Sr. Survivors include his wife, Janet; sons, Anthony and wife, Michelle Finney, Jeremy and wife, Laura Finney; grandchildren, Katherine, Liam, Emma, August; mother, Muriel Harris; brother, Russ Harris; sister, Laurie and husband, Gary Allen; nephew, Bryan Allen; niece, Melissa Allen. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, interment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Navajo Santa in Woody's memory.
