

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Butler Marsh; brother Edward Leonard Marsh Jr. Survivors include his sister, Betty Marsh Goggins; children, Daniel Butler Marsh and his wife, Robbie of Apollo Beach, Fla., Cary Allen Marsh and his wife, Renae of Auburn, Ga., Cathy Lea Marsh and her husband, Alan Kuzel of New Port Richey, Fla. grandchildren, Kristen Carrie Schofield (Graham), David Clay Couch, Brett Allen Marsh (Bradley), Danielle Elise Brooks (Rich), Christopher Jacob Marsh; great-grandchildren, Virginia "Ginny" Renae Schofield, Eleanor "Ella" Hope Schofield, Caroline Lee Schofield, Lincoln Wade Brooks, Imogen "Immy" Olive Brooks.
Bill was born on February 9, 1931, in Sandersville, Ga. to Edward Leonard Marsh Sr. and Mattie Belle Harrison Marsh. He attended Mercer University until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953, he later graduated from the University of Tampa with a BA degree in Economics. He and Norma were married in June of 1954.
He was committed to his church and was ordained a deacon in 1963, and he and Norma enjoyed leading Bible studies. He worked as an insurance underwriter for many years retiring from Cigna Insurance. He and Norma enjoyed traveling, camping and gardening. They spent many summers traveling across the country in their camper.
The family will receive friends 10–11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 with a funeral service at 11 a.m., all in the Chapel at the First Baptist Church of Brandon, 216 North Parsons Avenue, Brandon, Florida.
