Shirley, I was sorry to learn of Bill's passing.  As one of my oldest friends, 
I have always considered him as one of my "five".
I will miss him.

Bill’s passing is so shocking. We went through tough times together in the Marines. His squad and mine were side by side when Kennedy was killed that cold November day in 1963. We both thought war was to follow. He and I were so very close those years in the Corps. We stayed that way until his time was done. Words cannot describe the loss, nor can I imagine your abject hurt at his passing. Just know he touched many lives with his smile and humor. As he and I each ended our many talks, “Semper Fi” is how we signed off, so I know his and my feelings were always with the Marines. Semper Fi, Bill. “You did good.” Faith and prayers to you and the family, Shirley. Will see you Monday.

The first time I met Bill we were in a visiting class at RTP.
He had the biggest smile and firm handshake.  He never seemed to be without the smile, even when he was voicing a complaint.  His laugh was great to to hear, and see.

May he be smiling forever in eternity. 

m  Bill and Shirley during our 2 year TOPS mgmt training experience in R.T.P NC.   We were also blessed to have fishing opportunities at Kerr Lake once each Summer while living  down there.   Bill and I became District Managers in Philly where we also had 2 great District Teams!
We regularly drove  or flew together to DC for our Reg# 2 meetings ! It was great having Bill as a friend!Bless y’all Shirley & Shawn + your little angels! Walt

I am so very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. 

My memories of Bill began when he interviewed me in 1971 at FAU and handed me an application. He was my first BW Co. contact and I am forever in his debt for a wonderful career. 

Bill was superb example of what typified the best Pharma company ever, great people. He was simply a wonderful human being and work colleague.

I am so sorry to learn of Bill's passing. We worked together at Burroughs Wellcome Co for many years. In fact, Bill was one of my trainers in our 1976 basic pharmaceutical sales training class. Bill always had a smile on his face, a kind word for everyone, and a lolilpop. He was a Marine and I a Navy veteran so we had much in common. We talked many times of our experiences with U-control airplanes and what fun they were to build. I looked up to Bill since he was one of the first people I met at Burroughs Wellcome Co and considered him a friend for all these years. I will miss Bill. Semper Fi, Marine!
