Zofia C. Szczudlik, 80, entered into rest Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was a loving mother and grandmother as well as a caregiver in the home health care industry for over 35 years. Zofia loved helping people, especially her friends and family, as well as cooking and growing roses in her garden. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 30 years, Piotr Szczudlik. Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Dorado and Marta Kagan; sons-in-law, Kenneth Dorado Sr. and Gary Cuttlet; grandchildren, Kenny Dorado (Julia) and Destiny Dorado; sister, Mary Lewis; cousin, Walter Chowaniec; and lifetime friends, Halina and Zbyszek. Services will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home at a later date. Donations may be made in Zofia’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Zofia will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but will live on in their hearts and memories.
