Alice Ana Stemmler

Alice was born in Saskatchewan and came to Brantford as a young woman of 18, to be near her younger sister who was a resident of the W. Ross MacDonald School for the blind.

Alice is the loving Mother of Lorne (Lynne), George, Gerry (Jane), and Michele (Phil). Alice was blessed to be the loving Grandmother of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice is also survived by her brother Maurice and his family, and her sister Doris; both of Saskatchewan.

Predeceased by her loving husband Clayton (2003), parents Peter and Mary Joa, infant grandson Caleb (1989), and sisters and brothers.

Alice was Personal Secretary and 'Girl Friday' for her husband Clayton, as he and she worked hard together to run Dad's business - Stemmler Construction. She was a longtime member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Pius X Church. She also was a parishioner of St. Basil’s Catholic Church.

Private visitation and service will be held for the family and in accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Brantford.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Basil Catholic Church would be appreciated by her family.
