Helen DeFranciso

February 4, 1927 – September 30, 2010

“And He cloaked her in a tapestry woven of love and peace lifting her up on Angel’s wings allowing her soul to soar once again in the joy and freedom of Heaven” Helen is survived by her beloved sister Louise Torti, her precious nieces Louann and Patricia Torti, Lucy DeFrancisco, her dear nephews Patrick and Wayne Sweeny, Richard and Tom DeFrancisco, her adored great niece and nephew Tricia (Trevor) Shinner and Christopher (Kara) Schopf, her tiny, but very much loved great, great nephews and niece, Lucas and Liam Shinner, and Sofia Schopf. Helen has happily been reunited with her predeceased parents, Maria Camina and Samuel DeFrancisco and her siblings John, Thomas, Florence and Joseph. Brother-in-law Thomas Torti and niece Teresa Castellani (Torti). Although she will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her in this life, Helen has made an imprint in our hearts and will continue to gift us with fond and cherished memories for always. A service of Remembrance will be held at “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel” on Monday October 4, 2010 from 1 pm – 2pm, with a service at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Oakhill Cemetery with Reverend Barry Pridham officiating. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
