Ida Loretta Batt

Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday January 12, 2017 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth. Loving mother of Judy (Ron) Catherwood, Kathy (Wayne) Comer and Peter Knowles. Step mother of Debbie, Brenda, Valerie, Ken and Cindy. Loving grandmother of Tim (Amber) and Michael Sinclair, Nicole (Wally) Friesman, Melanie (Gary) Van Luven. Great grandmother to Brook, Dylan, Tayla, Ella and Oriah. Micki was the last surviving member of a family of 12 siblings. She will be fondly remembered by her best friend of more than 60 years, Blythe Shellington, special neighbours Susan and Danny, and her very supportive niece Sylvia Grosvold along with many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to the physicians and nursing staff of Palliative Care who are true angels, C.C.A.C. Parkview Retirement Home and to Dr. Doris Ullman for their wonderful care given to mom. At Micki’s request, there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 133 Murray Street on Wednesday January 18th 2017 at 11:00 am. with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Donations in Micki’s memory can be made to Palliative Care Brantford General Hospital.
