James Jim Crow

Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 23, 2013, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of 66 years to Betty Sankey. Loved father to Linda and Jim Peters, of Simcoe, Jim and Meta Crow, John and Judy Crow, all of Brantford. Dear grandfather to Jill King, of Burlington, Jeff Reeves, Danny and Joe Anne Holloway, Eric Crow, Kayla Crow and Aaron Steer, all of Brantford.. Great -grandfather to Sydney and Alex Holloway and Hailey Steer. Survived by sister Margaret Belcher and sister-in-law Rochelle Crow. Predeceased by his grandson Steven Crow, sisters Catherine Duffield and Helen Smith and brothers William, John, Colin and David Crow. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Jim was a meter reader with the Brantford Public Utilities Commission, retiring in 1981. He served in the Second World War in the 54th Field Regiment from 1939-1945 in the Italian conflict and was a member of the 56th Field Regiment RCA.

The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West Street (today) Monday, February 25, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
