Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday the 13th of September, 2013, in his 84th year. Born March 16th, 1930 in Sturgeon Falls, ON. Leaves behind the love of his life for 61 years, Joan. Beloved father of the Late Debbie (Steve) Smith and Jane (Mike) Wichrowski. Sadly missed by grandchildren Michael, Derek and Cody and his sister Gloria Harp. Predeceased by sister Gayle Paterson and parents William and Violet Phillips. Retired long time employee of Amoco Fabrics. Jim was an avid sports fan and enjoyed a love of roller-skating. In honouring Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at “THORPE BROTHERS’ CARRIAGE HOUSE”, 96 West Street, on Wednesday, September 18th from 3:30pm – 6:00pm. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
