Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Thursday June 22nd 2023 at the age of 71. Beloved son of the late John and Anna Rusyn. Loving father of Brian (Kait), Patti (Scott), Paul (Christina), Jason (Candace), Jenea (Erik), Tina, Ashley, Phil, and Josh (Jen). Treasured grandfather of Hailey, Tyler, Madison, Breanna, Isaiah, Ryder, Trevor, Walker, Lucas, Sydney, Kennedy, Xander, Harrison, Brynlee, Bryson, Benson, Craven, Cruz, Jada, Aria, Emery. Cherished brother of Luba Rusyn. Uncle to Jennifer (Jeff) Sullivan and Dawn Lamont. Predeceased by sister Olga and her husband Bob. Jerry will be forever remembered by those who knew him, and will be missed by many friends. The family will receive friends at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home, 96 West St., Brantford, on Thursday June 29th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel. Cremation has taken place, with a private family interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of donations, our wish is for anyone who desires to go to the casino, and play a game of your choosing (Poker was his favourite!) in memory of Jerry.
