Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday January 11, 2015 in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, James Phillips. Loving mother of the late Debbie (Steve) Smith and Jane (Mike) Wichrowski. Sadly missed by grandsons Michael (Kristy), Derek and Cody (Julia). Sister-in-law of Gloria Harp and special friend of Beryle Todd. Special thanks to Starla and the Bayshore nurses and the Palliative Care nursing staff at the B.G.H. In honouring Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at the “ THORPE BROTHERS CARRIAGE HOUSE” 96 West Street on Friday January 16th from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice, Hankinson House or to the Brant Community Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
