

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 88 years old, and is reunited with his loving wife Rose. Cherished father of Tracy (late Ted), Sara (Dennis), and Steven (Tammy). Loved Grandad of Lindsay, Wesley, Brittany (Adam), Chelsea (Adam), Beth, and Jessica (Amber). Proud great-grandad of Tristin, Owen, Evie, Montana, Olivia, Keira, Trinity, Bowen, Grayson, Bentley, and Griffin. John will be greatly missed by his family in England and his countless friends that became family and Brothers all over the world.
John was proud to be a volunteer for 18 years at the Brantford General Hospital. He was a hard worker his entire life, retiring in 2002, and maintained close friendships with his colleagues from Massey Ferguson, Koehring Waterous, and Crane. He was a longstanding member of the Legion Branch 90. John loved football, and loved cheering on his favourite team, West Ham United. We will forever miss his kind welcoming heart, boisterous laugh, endless jokes and beautiful smile that lit up every room that he entered.

As were John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home, 96 West Street, Brantford. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Mount Hope Cemetery, 169 Charing Cross Street, Brantford at 1:30 pm.
You are invited to attend a Celebration of Life following the Mount Hope Cemetery graveside service at the Duke on Park, 505 Park Road North, Brantford from 2:30 - 5:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund Canada or any charity that benefits animals.
