John David (Jack) Tooley

Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Friday April 17, 2015 in his 98th year. Son of the late David Tooley and Catherine Johnson of Brantford Jack was a lifelong member of Kirkland Lake Legion, a Second World War veteran, serving 4 years overseas in the R.C.A.F. as a wireless operator and more recently he became a member of the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association. He is survived by his nephew Murray Haight and family and his niece Catherine Cowan and her son Nathan and sister-in-law Jean Kaufman. Special thanks to Doctor’s Ho and Carter and the amazing compassionate staff at “Peach Place” Woodingford Lodge for their care of Jack. He will be especially missed by his niece Catherine and her son Nathan.

Visitation at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street on Thursday April 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with prayers to be offered at 3:30 pm. Cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest with his family at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
