Beloved son of Gino and Lois Mercante, Brother of Michael (Joanne), Uncle to Alyssa. Joe will be sadly missed by his children Jenna McEwan, Dalton McEwan and Hunter Mercante, all of his Grandchildren, Melissa Stewart, his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Joe was hardworking along side his Father and Brother. He also had a great passion for his dogs. He was always willing to help others especially his mother and father. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME”, 96 West St., on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace St., on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donation to The Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation, Canadian Liver Foundation, or St. Basil’s Parish would be appreciated by the family.
