Passed away peacefully, at home in his sleep on Monday, April 2nd at the age of 71. Beloved Husband of Ritha for 43 years. Loving Father of Rosemary (Pragie) Govender, David and Nancy (Jonah) Beckford. Papapa to Sean, Larissa, Noah, Lily and Thaddeus. Brother to Sebastian (Natu), George (Philsa) and Neena. Will be sadly missed by sister-in-laws Theresa Jacob and Celine (Anil) David. Jossey spent his life dedicated to education, teaching in India and then here at St. John’s College for 35 years. He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family in Canada and India. The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel”, 96 West Street on Sunday, April 8th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, with Parish Prayers at 2pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly St., on Monday April 9th at 10am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre would be appreciated by the family.
