Died peacefully in the family home of 60 years, on January 17th, 2014, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late James Papai. Loving mother of Jim, Barbara (Oliver) Carroll, Frank (Pauline). Nagy Mama to Neil, Sarah, Stephen, Francis, Kyle, Bianca and Vanessa. Survived by brothers Les Gornyiczki, Mike Gornyicski, nieces and nephews. Julia was a member of the CWL for over 50 years and the Hungarian Mutual Benefit Society. She was a pioneer for women’s fitness as a co-founder of Jim’s Gym and a successful caterer. As per Julia’s wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home & Chapel. A memorial service will take place in the spring.
