Loving Mum of MaryBeth (Jim) Blokker, Andrew (Janice) Russell, and Janet (Jim) Morrison. Dear Nana to Jimmy (Martha), Katie, Peter, Allie, Elizabeth, Kirsty (Geoff), Sandy (Morgan), Russell, Annie (Jefferson) and Andrew. Great-Nana to Mila, Ella, Logan, Lexi, Callum, Baird and Louis. Marjorie loved and was loved by many and she will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Marjorie grew up mostly in Barrie, and became a Registered nurse, graduating in 1948 from the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. After many years with the Department of Lands and Forests, they settled in Brantford where Sandy taught at Pauline Johnson. Marjorie was very involved in the life of Central Presbyterian Church, and returned to nursing part time. After they retired, she and Sandy travelled extensively. But her favourite place in the world was their summer cottage at Camp Lake, where they spent many joyful summers with their children, grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren. She was an amazing example of non-judgmental love, support, faith, and indomitable spirit. We are so blessed and thankful to have had her as a wonderful wife, Mum, Nana, and Great Nana. Thank you, Nana. We love you. The family will receive friends at the Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home at 96 West St., Brantford, on Monday, May 1st, 2023 from 10am-11am. A Celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held in the Thorpe Suite at 11am, with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Memories and condolences may be shared below.
