I was a patient as well as someone who worked with Mary.  
She was a great doctor, friend and mother to her children.  Her children and Marek always came first to her.  She was very proud in everything Christopher and Katherine did.  She loved to talk about their many accomplishments and was always smiling when she spoke of her children.  She would always go the extra mile for her patients as well.  My heart felt sympathy goes out to Marek, Christopher and Katherine.  Hugs to you all.

Mary and I walked many miles together.  We were chief residents together, she in medicine and me in OB.  I had the privilege to be counted among her many patients.  I had the equal privilege of acting as her teacher when she had to change the nature of her practice to accommodate her illness.  I regret that I was not able to walk many of the final miles with her as her illness largely confined her to Brantford, and my work and family confined me to Hamilton.  I count her among my good friends, and hope that she felt similarly.  Marek, Christopher, and Katherine please accept my sincerest condolescences. You are in my prayers.

My Aunt was a patient of Dr. Devlin's and I came to admire her for her patience, compassion and willingness to go the extra mile to make sure everyone got the best care possible.  What a nice woman she was.  My condolences to the Devlin family on your loss.

I was a patient of Mary's in Hamilton.  I always say she saved my life.  When she heard that my father had Colon Cancer she sent me for a test that detemined I had a very nasty form of Colon Cancer which undetected would have killed me.  Thanks to her concern and thorough approach to her work - it was detected early and no further treatment was required. She was a wonderful doctor and I was very sad when she had to close her practice due to her illness.  I remember how excited she was when she talked about her new house in Brantford and showed me the house plans.  My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Our condolences go out to the entire family during this sad time. I am sure any mother would be proud to have children as successful and as motivated as Chris and Katherine. I'm sure you made her very proud. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all .

As a classmate of Mary's from McMaster, I just want to express my condolences to her family for her untimely death. I'll remember her as someone with a dry sense of humour and an easy laugh.

Mary was a valued colleague at the Hamilton General. I have only admiration for how she bore her illness with courage
