Mike is lovingly remembered by his son, Noah; his mother, Linda; his father, Bob (Claire); and his sister, Krista, along with extended family and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched deeply.
Known to most simply as Mroz, he built lasting friendships during his years in Brantford and in the life he created in Prescott, where he was fondly known as Irish Mike.
Mike was larger than life, with a presence that naturally drew people in and often placed him at the centre of it all. He had a gift for lighting up any room, always ready with a joke, sharp wit, or a nickname that would stick for years. He thrived in the middle of the action, bringing energy, humour, and a sense of connection wherever he went.
Unapologetically himself, Mike was funny, loud, social, and full of life. He was passionate in all he did and did it with unmistakable flair. He had a way of turning even the simplest moments into something memorable.
Mike will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for his humour, his presence, and the lasting imprint he left on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the exceptional staff of the ICU at Queensway-Carleton Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s memory can be made to Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation: www.qchfoundation.ca.
