Olga Margaret Kovach

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing on Friday, September 30th, of Olga Margaret Kovach (nee Balazs) in her 95th year. Olga was predeceased by her much loved husband, Bill and daughter Susan. She was the daughter of John and Julia Balazs. Olga was the beloved mother of June (John) Szeman, Linda (Bob) Hodgins, Bill (Jean) and Carl (Shelley), loving grandmother to Lisa (Kevin), Jack, Marina, Bob (Eduarda), Michelle, Dan (Lisa), Kyle and Kurt. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Alina, Steve, Julia, Matthew, Connor, Caroline, Ben, Levi and Mia. Olga was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Lubrick and her brother Bob Balazs. She leaves her brothers Joe, Ed and Frank Tamas. Olga was a deeply caring and loving lady. Her love of family, cooking, baking, sewing and her Hungarian heritage were remarkable. Thank you to the staff of Fox Ridge Care Community for the love and concern shown to Olga. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West Street, on Monday, October 3rd from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street, at 11am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
