Patricia Carol Cunningham

July 16, 1941June 3, 2020

Left this world as a result of a sudden heart attack at home, Wednesday, June 3, 2020, with her loving husband, Doug of 60 years at her side. She has left a profound gap in the lives of her 5 daughters, Gloria Rajnak (Rob), Joan Cubbon (Paul), Linda Buckley (Jeff), Beth and Barb Cunningham. Family was everything to our Mom. She will be sadly missed by her much loved 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and their families; Chris (Stef, Ava, Leo) Rajnak, Julie (Ayanna) Rajnak; Laura (Bryce) Rajnak; Jack, Kelly, and Marcia Cubbon; Melissa (Brian and Declan) Minix, Emily (Cory, Annabelle, Graham, Nicholas) Collins, Alexandra (Randy) Wanis; Sadie Gallant, Heather (Kirk) Gallant; Nadia, Jill, and Troy Pajnic. Our Mom will be mourned by her sisters; Hazel Matthews and Betty Lake, her many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, CLUB, neighbours, as well as friends both near and far. She treasured you all! Our Mom was greeted in Heaven by her sons Jim and Douglas Jr.; her brother Ken Farrugie and her parents Gus and Doris Farrugie. Mom lived in Brantford her entire life and seemed to go to school with everyone! She modelled generosity, hospitality, and taught us what commitment to community looked like. Our Mom lived out her life with conviction dedicated to her Catholic faith. She was very involved in the life of St. Mary’s Parish Our Lady of Assumption Church including several years as a member of the CWL.

A family service was held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

For those that wish to, a donation to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Thorpe Brothers' Funeral Home & Chapel. 519-759-2211. Memories and condolences of Carol may be shared online at www.thorpebrothersfh.com

We are saddened by the loss of such a wonderful woman and good friend. Herm and I met Carol and Doug 12 years ago when we were looking to buy our condo . We became fast friends and have spent many wonderful times together.

I just wanted to extend my condolences to the family. I met Patricia a few years ago at a family dinner. She was a pleasure to be around always smiling and made me feel as though I knew her years ago. I know she would be terrible missed by those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

Doug and Family:

Carol lite up every time she talked about her family. When we first moved into the condos, Carol was the first to welcome us, with some fresh baked cookies. Thank you for all the memories sitting in your garage.

Dear Doug and Family,

How saddened Ed and I were to receive word of the loss of your beloved Carol. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

There is a very deep ache in my heart as Carol has been a dear friend throughout grade and high school together. We began grade one at St. Mary's together upon introductions through our mother's who knew each other.

After I was married and moved from Brantford, we stayed in touch throughout the years. We have wonderful memories of visits with her and Doug, along with our mutual friends. We are ever so thankful for the wonderful time she and Doug hosted for us in Florida.

May God bless you, Doug, with peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Love Ed and Marian Kasala (DeFrancisco)
