Paul Thomas Mitchell

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a wonderful husband and step father of 42 years. Surrounded by family, Paul passed peacefully at Stedman Community Hospice on September 25, 2014. Born on April 28, 1943, Husband of Eileen (Phillpot - Cromwell) and Step Father of William (Cory), Mark (Lori), Tammy (Gary), Penny (Bill), Sherry (Dave) & Candy (Brian). Grandfather of 13 grand children & 21 great grand children.

In his 71st year, he is survived by siblings Barbara, Margaret, Ralph (Florence), Michael (Carol), Sheila (Dr. Dave), David (Margaret), Wilford (Arlene), Debra (Ray) & sister in law Marilyn & family, brother in law Bill (Sheila) & family as well as many nieces & nephews. Pre deceased by Mother Grace, Father Jack & siblings Roger, Allan, Patricia, Richard & Peter.

Paul had passion for transport trucks and was a driver for 45 years. He was also a huge Toronto Blue Jay fan and adored his “baby” cat Kells. His happy go lucky outlook on life will be sadly missed but will never be forgotten.

Friends & Family will be received at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home & Chapel” 96 West Street on Monday September 29th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of his life will be held in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Brantford Navy Club 54 Wadsworth St. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Stedman Community Hospice.
