I am very saddened to hear the news of Paul’s passing. I worked for Paul some 40 years ago and found him a man of great compassion and kindness to everyone he met. He was also a great advocate for the unborn and those in need. He will be missed but never forgotten by all that had the privilege of knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

So sorry to read of Paul's passing. We knew he was ill- still hard to read. I knew Paul for over 40 years- a wonderful man, and a proud father. Our heart goes out to his family at this time- cherish your memories and keep them in your heart. Love, Nancy and Greg Houle.

In memory of Deacon Paul. I did an hour of prayers and a half hour Rosary Monday August 5th at about an hour before Deacon Paul passed away. I'll never get to do the Rosary with you Deacon, but I'll always do the Rosary at night before bedtime in the chapel at the Marian's, where you tried so hard to make it in there even if you lived there for a year or two, that was your goal in life, not to die in hospital but die peacefullly in the Marian Residence with Lesia and I and all the nuns. Deacon, you were a great man, husband, and father, and a great brother to me. We spent many good times together, which I'll never forget; us going shopping for Lesia and then going to Tim Hortons for a donut and tea. We prayed the Rosary together and then met up with Lesia at another store and all came home together, unloading the groceries while you made me go inside because of my bad back. You always looked after me in that way. Deacon I am going to dearly miss you with all the talks about religion and everyday stuff. You taught me to be a man with the love of God in me. Deacon you always read the Bible after every Rosary that we did together. Lesia and I are going to miss you dearly. I could always talk to you about my illness and problems. I'm now the man in the family and I'm with Lesia and we will take care of each other. Deacon I'm glad you did not suffer and may you rest in peace and now you're in God's hands. May God Bless you, and Deacon, don't worry about Lesia and I because we have each other and will always pray for you, Deacon. We love you and will always remember the love and joy you brought us.

Our profound sympathy with the loss of your dear husband, father and grandfather, Paul Vandervet, who was not only our trustworthy lawyer, but whom we also considered an esteemed friend. He will be greatly missed, also by the pro-life community. We always appreciated his well-constructed letters to the editor in the Brantford Expositor. May God raise up those who follow in his footsteps.

We just saw that Paul has gone to be with His Lord and Saviour, Whom he loved so dearly. We are so saddened by this news. We send our thoughts and sympathies to Lisa, Jon, Laura, Joey and their families.
We have so many precious memories over so many, many years. He was our lawyer, but more than that our friend. He was there for us when we lost our son in 2018. We witnessed his love first for his God and his family, and then for all those in need. He preached his faith through the way he lived his life. He faithfully stood strong for those without a voice - the pre-born babies and anyone who came with a need. His kind and gentle way will be missed as will his humour and laugh.
We know he was warmly welcomed to his new home by the Lord's open arms. We pray that the Lord will comfort each of you with His peace and may all the precious memories of Paul that you hold in your heart bring you joy. Our prayers are with you all.
With love and prayers,
Cecil & Nancy Kuwabara and family

I just spoke greatly of Paul today to a friend and then was sent his announcement by my sister tonight when I got home. We are so very sad to hear of Paul's passing and for the loss of such a compassionate man. Paul has helped my husband and I through all of our ups and down, house sales and just great advice for a good 25 years. I could talk to him about anything and he could help you feel better when u left his office if you had a problem. He loved cats and could be known to take in and spoil the odd stray who could then take over his office, very kind to all, people and animals alike. He will be missed and never forgotten by so many people. Yvette & Vernon Belmore, Simcoe, ON
