At the Brantford General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Sunday August 22, 2010 in his 81st year. Loving husband of Mildred. Dear father of Deborah (Allan) Bigelow, Denise Wood and Traci (Fred) Beechey. Dear grandfather to nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy (Ernie) Humphreys of California, Raymond (Eva) Strongman of Stirling, ON. Predeceased by four brothers and two sisters and survived by their respective families and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his long time companions Spooky and Sugar.
The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street on Tuesday, August 24th from 2-4 &7-9 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday August 25th at 11 a.m. Interment at Oakhill Cemetery. Pastor Scott Bacon will officiate. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
